All Hands On Board

You can’t make this stuff up! A U.S. Air Marshall onboard coined the 5 of us (2 Medics, GYN doctor, another Paratrooper besides myself), who saved a life in mid-air on a 10 hour flight early January 2020. My Nursing degree skills kicked in.  IV’s, IM injections, Oxygen was required along with monitoring and treating the patient continuous seizures for 3 hours straight (because the pilot couldn’t land) were just a few of her complicated condition. The area of the Aircraft where we worked on her looked like the OR, gauze pads, needles, IV bags etc. reminded me of the OR days.

Always a good day #ToSaveALife.

U.S. AirMarshall is a fan of my book collection: Career Soldier Series (“Read your books and enjoyed them very much. You have a great story and I appreciate your views on parenting”).

Chicago Big 95.5 Country Christmas

uso2019

From the private party sound checks with Carly Pearce and Photo ops with Hardy, it was a great Country Christmas Concert.  Dylan Scott closed it out after the  ugly Christmas sweater contest.  Toys for Tots drop off thanks to Big 95.5 ChicagoJoe’s Live,  Rosemont and Magellan for treating us “jusRight”.  Chi Time to rest the boots.

Feliz Navidad and Merry Christmas.

30 Years Later

30 years later our joint operation sign remains thanks to Volker Strehblow (seen in picture pretending to be busy). Air force personnel on the first floor, and Army. Myself only active duty military along with 6 civilian counterparts upstairs in dispatch. Memories of VIP’s of various branches flew into and landed here.

Reaching Out

I was surprised to receive a gift from a former Military Police Soldier from my First Unit; 118th MP Co. Airborne and Friend: Bruce Litiza.  He claims to be breezing through my books and I was taken back when he said these things to me; ” You did great“,  “knowing you – you can only do proud“, and “Love the story on door position on your second jump“.

Thanks Bruce for the miniature company Guidon (Cross Pistols).  I see who loves the camera!
